Become an Agentic agent

If you run a shop or kiosk in Uganda, you can serve mobile money customers with Agentic. Signing up takes a few minutes in the app.

What you need

  • To be at least 18 years old, with a Ugandan National ID (NIN).
  • An MTN or Airtel phone number in your own name, on a smartphone you keep with you.
  • A business name and the district and location where you serve customers.
  • Mobile money to pay the one-time KYC fee, and to top up your first float.

How it works

  1. Sign up in the appEnter your phone number and the code we send you by SMS, then your details as they appear on your National ID.
  2. Set your PINChoose a 4-digit PIN. You'll use it to confirm every transaction; never share it.
  3. Complete your KYCEnter your National ID number (and the referral code of the agent who invited you, if any), then approve the one-time KYC fee on your phone. The amount is shown in the app before you pay, and your account is switched on as soon as it arrives.
  4. Top up your floatMove money from your own mobile money into your Agentic float.
  5. Serve customersDo cash-ins and cash-outs for MTN and Airtel customers and earn commission on each one.

What you earn

Customers pay a small fee on cash-in and cash-out, and you earn a share of it as commission on every transaction. The commission goes into your commission wallet, separate from your float, and you can move it to your float whenever you like.

The current fees and commission for every amount are shown in the app under Commission structure, so you can see exactly what you'll earn before you pay anything.

If things change

If we close your account after you paid the KYC fee and you did nothing wrong, we refund the fee to your registered number. See the Terms of Service for the details.
